Artha ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains
how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our personal finance management
application.
Our core principle is simple: Your financial data belongs to
you. We've built Artha with a privacy-first, local-first architecture.
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services:
- Account Information: Email address for authentication
- Financial Data: Transactions, categories, goals, budgets
(stored locally on your device)
- Preferences: App settings, currency, theme choices
- Device Info: Basic device identifiers for crash reporting

✓ Local-First: All your financial data is
stored locally on your device by default. We do NOT have access to your transaction data unless you
explicitly enable cloud backup.
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- AES-256 Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted at rest
- Biometric Authentication: Fingerprint and Face ID support
- No Cloud by Default: Data stays on your device
- End-to-End Encryption: If you enable cloud backup
- SSL/TLS: All network communications are encrypted
- No Tracking: We don't use analytics on your financial data
- We do NOT sell your data to anyone
- We do NOT share your financial data with third parties
- We do NOT show personalized ads based on your finances
- We do NOT track your spending for analytics purposes
- We do NOT require cloud storage—your data stays local
You have complete control over your data:
- Access: View all your data anytime within the app
- Export: Download your data in CSV or JSON format
- Delete: Remove all your data permanently
- Portability: Transfer your data to another service
- Consent: Opt-in/out of optional features like backup

You can delete your account at any time from within the app:
- Go to Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account
- Confirm your decision in the dialog
When you delete your account:
- All local data is immediately deleted from your device
- Your authentication account is removed from our servers
- Any cloud backup data is deleted within 30 days
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone

If you choose to enable cloud backup:
- Your data is encrypted before leaving your device
- Only you have the decryption key
- Backups are stored on secure servers
- You can delete cloud backups anytime
- Data is retained for 90 days after account deletion
Artha is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from
children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes
through the app or via email. Continued use of Artha after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated
policy.
